Design, Concept, Vision and Inspiration

·         Provide design inspiration and seasonal design direction for RRR brand; design, concept, vision, inspiration, print and color

·         Responsible for ensuring product is consistent with market trends aligning with overall business strategy

·         Identify trends, seasonal “big ideas” and key silhouettes relevant to RRR brand

·         Market research and shop marketplace for competitive analysis and style trend; purchase samples within budget

·         Prepare presentation boards – concepts, color and inspiration

·         Participate and lead product design meetings

·         Adhere and enforce all design deadlines

·         Liaise with RR/VP of Merchandising on all aspects of design direction

Duties and Key Responsibilities

·         Lead and manage Design team (4 Designers, 1 Textile Designer, dotted line to Fabric R&D Manager)

·         Provide creative direction to Design team

·         Accountable for process improvement, growing business, streamlining efficiencies and seeking opportunities that positively affect the company

·         Train, motivate, evaluate and assess talent and team

·         Oversee execution of flat sketches, detailed illustrations, key points of measurements and trim for technical packages and line sheets

·         Adhere and enforce all design deadlines

·         Oversee and partner with Technical Design teams to ensure style details and fit from proto thru production stage

·         Partner with cross-functional teams to provide flow of information


·         Oversee all aspects of print development from sample stage thru bulk production

·         Manage and direct Textile Print Designer

·         Meet with print studios; purchase artwork within print artwork budget

·         Work with Textile Print Designer to pitch prints and colorways

·         Oversee all print strike offs, duplicate print fabric yardage and bulk print approvals within calendar deadlines (minimum limit two strike offs)

·         Ensure bulk print fabric yardage is achievable target price point for garment margin requirements

·         Liaise with RR/VP of Merchandising for print vision and print direction for seasonal approval



·         Oversee selection of all fabric, yarn and trim

·         Manage and direct Fabric R&D Manager

·         Oversee fabric sourcing/development is achievable target price point for garment margin requirements

·         Oversee lab dips and color approvals for proto, duplicate yardage and bulk production fabrications

·         Oversee ordering all proto and duplicate fabric yardage and yarns within calendar deadlines

Garment Fittings

·         Oversee attendance of all proto and bulk garment fittings

·         Partner with Technical Design team to confirm all garment spec measurements, design details, construction and trim for proto garment development

·         Partner with Technical Design team to ensure contemporary garment fit and troubleshoot any fit issues at store level

·         Oversee design follow up and updates from fittings with Design Team; changes need to be reviewed with Merchandising and Sales teams

Leadership Team Responsibilities

·         Partner with Leadership Team to strategize on overall big picture business plans – Sales, Design, Production, Merchandising and Marketing
