Vice President Warehouse Operations

Primary Responsibility:

The Vice President of Warehouse Operations is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating all activities within the warehouse/distribution center operations.  He/she will be responsible for the warehouse and inventory control functions, partnering with our 3PL provider(s), partnering with transportation, as well as customer relationships; both internal and external. The VP of Warehouse Operations must have a strong KPI background and be customer-service driven.

Essential Functions:

  • Set the vision, strategic direction, expectations, annual and long-term objectives for logistics and warehouse operations

  • Create and strategically adjust departments’ activities, policies and practices to meet and/or exceed key performance metrics and customer satisfaction goals; ensure 3PL partners are managed to budget while steering process improvements

  • Develop future budgets based on customer sales forecast and historical performance. Make Capital expenditure requests and relative ROI analysis

  • Develop strong partnerships with all front office functions to include Factories, Production, and Sales and support new product development activities as related to freight and logistics

  • Analyze anticipated growth against capacities to maintain and ensure proper storage, receiving, and shipping capabilities for present and future business

  • Ensure contingency policies, systems and practices are in place to prevent and eliminate business disruption

  • Champion efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures and assist with implementation of changes within areas of responsibility

  • Manage transportation plans, annual transportation budget and develop and administer programs to determine the most advantageous and economical methods of shipment for company products

  • Manage carrier relationships and contract negotiation and monitor volume commitment per contract

  • Engage with customers to understand their transportation needs and provide the best mutually beneficial solutions to mitigate will-calls and pick up’s at 3PL locations

  • Manage 3PL providers and work with warehouse leadership to analyze trends, implement new technologies and drive overall performance in an effort to maximize on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, reduce costs, compress lead times, improve efficiencies and implement corrective actions to resolve any issues

  • Partner with and support customs compliance processes to ensure needs are consistently met, restrictions understood and deployed

  • Leverages the information technology systems to produce results while minimizing risk

  • Interacts with internal/external customers and management to meet or exceed established service levels

  • Responsible for distribution center’s security systems

  • Responsible for the integrity of the distribution center’s inventory

  • Ensures performance for all vendor and customer agreements

  • Ensures distribution center policies and procedures (human resources, administrative, safety, regulatory compliance, etc.) are implemented in a consistent manner and to company expectations

  • Implement cost reduction strategies in all aspects of the distribution center’s transactions and activities

  • Promote “ownership culture” among staff to strive for an efficient and effective operation

  • Keeps employees informed as to company/department plans and progress

  • Ensure full Safety and OSHA rules are followed in accordance with company goals

Responsibilities

Overview: This role will manage and work closely with the Customer Service & Allocations team as well as our 3PL partner to ensure the timely fulfillment of all orders across various channels of distribution. QUALIFICATIONS
MUST have strong knowledge of social media landscape

MUST have strong production/photo shoot skills: concepting, organizing, model casting
Excellent follow-through, detail oriented and adept at multi-tasking
Strong time management and organization skills
Positive attitude and a willingness to adapt to change
Some travel required
Advanced knowledge of Windows Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required
Knowledge of MAC based programs (Quark, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator) is preferred
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
College degree with a focus in communications, marketing or public relations
4-5 years in a Marketing or Public Relations role

Assistant Merchandising/Product Development Position

Assist Merchandising manager for a fast paced girls department in the development and pre-production stages. Looking for a well-rounded and passionate individual to add to our growing team! 

Duties will include but not limited to the following:

  • Record keeping

  • Point person from design to production
  • Manage best seller samples and sales reports
